Overview of Activity
Laughter yoga is an exercise practice that combines laughter and deep breathing techniques to improve well-being and promote a positive and joyful atmosphere. Participants engage in playful laughter exercises, experiencing the physical and emotional benefits of laughter without relying on humour or jokes.
Description of Activity
1. The facilitator begins by introducing the concept of laughter yoga to the participants, explaining that it is a form of exercise that combines laughter and breathing techniques to promote physical and emotional wellbeing.

2. Participants should stand in a circle and be led through a few warm-up exercises, such as deep breathing and stretching, to get them moving and become comfortable with each other.

3. The facilitator should then start by instructing participants to laugh for 15 seconds, even if they don't feel like it at first, and encourage them to make eye contact with each other and to try to sustain the laughter for the entire 15 seconds.

4. After the 15 seconds are up, the facilitator should have participants take a few deep breaths and relax.

5. Lead another round of laughter, this time for 20 seconds. Encourage participants to be more expressive with their laughter, and to try different types of laughter (e.g. belly laughs, giggles, chuckles, etc.).

6. The facilitator repeats this process, increasing the duration of each round of laughter until you reach a total of 30 seconds.

7. After the final round of laughter, participants should be led in a cool-down exercise, such as deep breathing or stretching.

8. The facilitator then encourages participants to reflect on how they feel after the laughter yoga session and to share any insights or observations with the group.
